Coronavirus/Covid 19 Update
17th Mar, 2021

The health and safety of our guests and staff is our priority. We recognise that this situation is unsettling and we want to assure you that we are closely monitoring the developing situation and following official guidance to keep everyone as safe as we can.

This information is subject to change and will be updated in line with latest guidance and common sense.

Gill Head will remain open unless Government policy advises us to close. We are taking the advice of medical professionals, the government and our governing bodies and organisations seriously, alongside our duty of care to guests, staff and family living and working here.

Camping, touring and self-catering holidays do not need to be close contact activities involving strangers. However, our public areas could be potential sources of surface viral transmission. We would urge you to take extra care of yourselves and others in these areas. We suggest that where possible you use facilities in your own vans and accommodation.

If you are planning to visit Gill Head please note:

  • If you show ANY symptoms associated with the virus (these are now widely known) we ask that you do not visit.
  • If you are in an area directly affected but the coronavirus then please be considerate and do not travel.
  • You should not choose Gill Head as a place to self-isolate.

We ask all guests to observe high standards of hygiene whilst visiting Gill Head – there are simple things you can do to help reduce the spread of the virus including:

  • Covering mouth and nose with sleeve or tissue if you sneeze or cough.
  • Immediately binning tissues.
  • Washing hands with soap and water regularly and using personal hand sanitiser where possible
  • Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth.

If you were to develop symptoms on the site please refrain from using facilities and return to your home. As soon as possible please contact us to notify us so that we can carry out any extra necessary cleaning. Please do not try to use overstretched local services unless you are dangerously ill.

Please be assured that we are carrying out any necessary extra cleaning to minimise the risk of contagion.

As our current suppliers are stretched to their limits and to assist with social distancing our little on-site shop and our breakfast service will not be available.

We are trying to reduce cash handling – please pay by card wherever possible.

We will be contacting seasonal and static caravan customers separately

Cancellation and holiday insurance policies currently remain the same but we will offer, where possible, a suitable change of date of guests are unable to travel.
