Ullswater is within a five minute drive from Gill Head with excellent walking along the lakeshore or on the fell tops, great places to eat, horse riding , fishing and watersports.
Alternatively just relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery aboard one of the Ullswater “Steamers”. These are within easy reach, operating between Glenridding and Pooley Bridge. The 3 historic vessels date from Victorian times
and 2 have been operating on Ullswater for almost 110 years!
