Holiday accommodation in the Lakes
Gill Head Farm is ideal for holidays with friends and family. We offer self-catering accommodation in the farmhouse, a lovely campsite with electric hook-ups for caravans and tents and Camping Pods. We have a small shop on site to buy your basics such as milk, eggs, drinks and snacks . A great communal room provides dining area, sofa seating, , TV, wifi, kettle, fridge freezer, toaster and microwave
The self-catering farmhouse has four en-suite bedrooms, all with TVs, and sleeps up to 8 . You can enjoy the comfort of all mod cons plus central heading and woodburners in the sitting room and snug. The property has a garden (not enclosed) and a well-behaved pet is welcome. Little Beck is a ground floor self-catering apartment, perfect for couples wishing to explore the Lakes.
Our caravan and camping park is in a great location with a modern, shower, toilet and laundry block. There are grass and hard-standing pitches for caravans, all with electric hook-ups. The campsite is open Easter to November and children are half price. Pets are welcome; dogs must be on a lead (we are a working farm) but we have areas set aside for dog walking.
Camping Pods are the convenient and cosy alternative to camping. They are timber-built, insulated and come with heating, electric lights and a double-socket. With 2 singles beds and futon-style mattresses provided, you just need to bring your regular camping equipment - minus the tent of course.
KIPPER CABIN Our lovely hand built pioneer style log cabin, is abit special...nestling in a quiet corner of Gill Head under the trees. It is as one room with king size bed, (linen and a selection of blankets are provided but you will need your own duvet) comfy armchairs chairs,by the cosy wood burning stove and a larder cupboard containing basic crockery and utensils, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a lovely ourdoor decking area with garden furniture over looking the river and an outdoor kitchen area with sink for food preparation and washing up. There is a little chemical 'outhouse' next door for only the cabin, otherwise you will use the shared campsite facilites a short walk away. A truly unique place to stay and get away from it all to re-charge and re-connect. At £70pn Booking may be made direct to us or via Pitch-up .
